He was assistant principal of Sylvania Burnham Junior High, than retired after 22 years as principal of Copley-Fairlawn High School, near Akron.
Ralph believed adults should have opportunities to continue performing and enjoying music. His memberships included Windjammers’ Unlimited (dedicated to playing and preserving circus music), Goodyear Band of Akron, North Coast Band, and community bands of Bucyrus, Green Springs, New Washington, Medina, and Vermilion. He collected and provided band music as a hobby, and he conducted The Lakeland Concert Band, Winter Haven Community Band, and Vacation Land Band of Sandusky.
A private service will be held in Ohio at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Good Shepard Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823. |
